acquired the Baker Hospitality Division of Best Manufacturoing
Group. H. W. Baker Linen Co., Inc., founded in 1892, and
headquartered
in New Jersey is a leading supplier of textile products,
amenities and
guest room supplies to hotels and motels.The Company was
acquired by
Best Manufacturing group in 2002. Now this business, renamed
as
Baker Hospitality, is a division of Dan River which will
serve their
esteemed clients in the hospitality industry. This new acquisition
brings together the global world-class sourcing capability
of Dan
River and distribution capabilities of Baker. With the coming
together
of two American companies, both more than 100 years old,
in
combination with the organization`s design and IT systems
, the
hospitality industry in US is going to experience service
of highest
caliber which they have not experienced before. This acquisition
is
very complementary to what Dan River is doing. It opens
a whole new
area of institutional buying or institutional selling for
Dan River.
Dan River was selling to retail chains across the US and
now with this
acquisition, it will have another opening selling to the
institutions
- the hotels.
Home Fashions has four segments serving different target
markets:

River Bed In A Bag (BIAB) brand and private labels such
as Martha Stewart, Lily Pulitzer, Alexander Julian, etc.

line of mostly licensed bedding products for kids from
toddlers to pre-college (Star Wars, NASCAR, NFL, etc.)
